2018 ~ The Sky’s the Limit

On January 1st, 2017 I headed out to the wilderness in the Pacific Northwest and began my journey to complete 52 hikes in a year. As of this writing, I’m almost there! What I didn’t know that I would learn on this journey was that I was capable of anything I decided I wanted to do. As always, safety first, but I have accomplished hikes that only a year ago I thought were beyond my capabilities. What did I take from that? The Sky is the limit! If I want to do something, anything, I just research, prepare, educate if needed, and then as Nike says: Just do it! Sometimes even when I didn’t want to do something, like get dressed, drive a hundred miles, and lug a pack on my back I did it anyway. And guess what? Never once did I regret my decision to “Just Do It”! So for 2018 I have a new goal: I will hike higher and farther than I ever thought possible! Come back and see where 2018 takes me, or better yet, join me!

One of my 2017 accomplishments!

  1. Love the attitude your showing here. Love to see some of your pictures from your hike.

Just imagine what you can do. One foot in front of the other.

  2. Hunting is allowed in most state forests and some state parks so check out the 2018 CT Hunting and Trapping Guide and don?t forget to wear orange during hunting season. Also, bring a whistle and make noise so hunters know you are in the area.

    1. Thank you. I try to wear bright colors when I’m out, and Enzo also has a red harness and backpack. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness
